ÖD ger ut tidningen Ostrobotnia två-fyra gånger i året och tidningen distribueras hem till medlemmar i de österbottniska nationerna. I huset finns ett bibliotek, där man kan låna både skönlitteratur och kurslitteratur. På första våningen i huset finns restaurangen Manala, som ägs av nationerna, där medlemmar kan äta förmånlig studentlunch på vardagarna. Bredvid Manala finns puben St. Urho’s Pub eller Urkki som den kallas till vardags.
De österbottniska nationerna har tillsammans ca 340 bostadsplatser i Helsingfors. Porthan-festen är Helsingfors äldsta akademiska fest och den ordnas årligen kring 9.11, som är ÖD:s årsdag.
