Arvoisa juhlakansa,
Lämpimästi tervetuloa 185. Porthan-juhlaan lauantaina 9.11.2024.
Juhla alkaa cocktailtilaisuudella klo 15:00 Ostrobotnian viidennessä kerroksessa, jossa vastaanotetaan järjestöjen terveiset ja Etelä-Pohjalainen Osakunta vastaanottaa Viron Ylioppilaiden Seuran (Eesti Üliopilaste Selts) vaakunan. Viidennestä kerroksesta siirrymme Ostrobotnian juhlakerrokseen (2.krs). Jääkärihuoneessa laskemme seppeleen klo 16:45, josta siirrymme juhlapöytiin klo 17:00.
Tänä vuonna juhlapuheen pitää psykologian professori emerita ja inspehtori emerita Liisa Keltikangas-Järvinen. Lisäksi illan aikana on luvassa kolmen ruokalajin illallinen, puheita, laulua sekä tanssia.
Juhlan jälkeen luvassa on jatkot osakuntatiloissa viidennessä kerroksessa. Jatkot ovat juhlaan osallistuville ilmaiset. Sunnuntaina kokoonnumme vielä osakuntatiloihin viettämään sillisaamiaista klo 12:00 alkaen. Silliksen hinta on ennakkoon 10€, paikan päällä 12€. Silliksen voi maksaa samalla illalliskortin kanssa.

Varmt välkomna till den 185:e Porthanfesten, som firas på nationhuset Ostrobotnia, lördagen 9.11.2024.
Vi börjar festligheterna med solenn akt och cocktail klockan 15:00 på nationsvåningen, Tölögatan 3 A, femte våningen, där vi mottager hälsningar från vänföreningar och Etelä-Pohjalainen Osakunta mottager vapen från Eesti Üliopilaste Selts. Efter cocktailen förflyttar vi oss ner till Ostrobotnias festvåning, ingång från Museigatan 10, där kransnedläggningen i Jägarrummet äger rum klockan 16:45, varefter vi förflyttar oss till festsalen kl. 17:00.
Årets festtalare är Liisa Keltikangas-Järvinen, inspector emerita och professor emerita i psykologi. Kvällens program innehåller en trerättersmiddag, tal, sång och dans.
Efterfesten hålls på Ostrobotnias femte våningen. Efterfesten är gratis för alla festdeltagare. Sillisen ordnas följande morgon, söndagen den 10:e November, från och med kl. 12:00. Sillisen kostar 10 € på förhand, på plats kostar sillisen 12 €

Dear friends,
We would like to welcome you to the 185th Porthan Gala at the Ostrobotnia house on Saturday the 9th of November 2024.
The event starts with cocktails at 15:00 on the 5th floor of Ostrobotnia, where we will be welcoming greetings from nations and organisations. Etelä-Pohjalainen Osakunta will also be receiving the coat of arms of the Estonian Students’ Society (Eesti Üliopilaste Selts). From the 5th floor we will head down to the 2nd floor of the Ostrobotnia house, where the laying of the wreath will take place in the Jäger Room at 16:45, after which we will be seated in the dinner tables starting 17:00.
This year, the celebratory speech will be given by Liisa Keltikangas-Järvinen, inspektor emerita and professor emerita in psychology. The evening will also include a three-course dinner, speeches, song, and dance.
After the gala the afterparty will continue on the 5th floor of Ostrobotnia until the early morning hours. The afterparty is free of charge for the attendants of the main event. On Sunday we will come together to the 5th floor to celebrate the traditional herring breakfast (sillis). The Sillis costs 10€ when paid in advance and 12€ when paid at the door. You can pay for the sillis while paying for the dinner card or on Sunday with cash.
